🇺🇸 Hello Friends! Dream it! Build it! 🇺🇸

Welcome to PennShed — my online workshop, a space where makers, creatives, and innovators come together.

I’m Leon Pennington, a builder, fabricator, and writer passionate about bringing ideas to life. PennShed blends my love of craftsmanship, technology, and storytelling — but it’s not just about my work.

👉 PennShed is about community.
Here, I invite you to collaborate, share, and grow together. This is more than a portfolio — it’s a think tank where makers, tinkerers, and creatives can connect, learn, and inspire.

What you’ll find here:

  • My project portfolio: 3D printing, knife making, woodworking, metal fabrication, and IoT builds.

  • IoT + tech projects: ideas, experiments, and smart solutions that bring hardware and software together.

  • My blog: guides, reflections, and deep dives into making and innovation.

  • Poetry and in-progress stories: because creativity doesn’t stop at the workbench.

  • A customer inquiries page for repairs, custom builds, and commissions.

  • A server access portal: for members and collaborators to securely share files and resources.

  • A membership area: offering exclusive content, project plans, and behind-the-scenes updates.

  • A community forum + project sharing space where makers can post projects, ask questions, share ideas, and help each other grow.

PennShed is a place to build, imagine, and collaborate. Together, we’ll create, innovate, and inspire.

My Approach

At PennShed, I believe that making is more than a skill — it’s a mindset. Whether I’m shaping steel, printing a new design, writing a line of code, or crafting a poem, I approach each project with curiosity, precision, and a drive to learn.

For me, the workshop and the blank page are both spaces to explore ideas, solve problems, and build c onnections.

👉 Collaboration is at the heart of PennShed. I see this space as a shared think tank — where makers, tinkerers, and creatives can exchange ideas, challenge each other, and grow together.

I value craftsmanship, openness, and innovation — and I welcome anyone who shares that spirit.

Together, we can create, repair, imagine, and inspire.

Build It

At PennShed, ideas don’t just stay on paper — this is where they come to life.

From metalwork and woodworking to 3D printing, IoT builds, and custom repairs, I believe in the power of hands-on craftsmanship. Building is about problem-solving, learning, and refining until vision meets reality.

👉 Here, we build with purpose, precision, and passion — and we build together.

Whether you’re shaping your first project or refining your hundredth, PennShed is a place to collaborate, create, and grow.

Dream It

Every project begins with an idea — a spark of curiosity, a challenge to be solved, or a vision to be brought to life.

At PennShed, I believe in dreaming boldly. Whether it’s a new tool, a custom build, an IoT innovation, or a creative story, this is a space where ideas take shape.

👉 Dream it, share it, and let’s make it real — together.

This community is a think tank for makers and dreamers. No idea is too big or too small. Bring your sketches, concepts, and “what ifs” — PennShed is where we turn vision into reality.

A Glimpse of Life

At the bottom of this page is a collage — snapshots of life’s raw, fleeting moments. A reminder to embrace Momento Mori, to Be Stoic in the face of challenges, and to always Stay Savage in the pursuit of growth, craft, and meaning.

These images reflect not just what I build but how I live.
